As you will discover in your education, it is so critical to the success of any copy you write to have a solid understanding of the product or service. All copy needs to be powerful but in different ways depending on things, and you cannot write with authority if you have a shallow understanding of the product. Copywriting gives you a set of tools, and you use those tools and sculpt your copy using the knowledge you have about what ever it is you are selling. All copy is written from a central idea or theme that permeates the copy, and that is another component that must be present.
